The Millclock IN-14 Nixie Clock in Tyrant Gold anodised aluminium is our compact tribute to mid-century electronics — redesigned for modern interiors.

Inside the minimalist aluminium block, six original IN-14 Nixie tubes bring time to life with a warm neon glow. Each digit is drawn by a delicate hexagonal mesh and orange cathodes, creating a precise, architectural look on your desk or shelf.

The Tyrant Gold finish adds a refined metallic sheen somewhere between champagne and brushed brass. It pairs effortlessly with dark wood, glass and black hardware — ideal for creative studios, offices and living rooms where technology becomes part of the decor.

Inside, a modern high-precision controller keeps time reliably, while smart firmware takes care of anti-poisoning routines, animations and brightness control. You get classic Nixie aesthetics without the vintage maintenance headache.

Quick Start & Operation

1. Unboxing & Placement

Place the clock on a stable, dry surface away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Make sure there is free space above the tubes for ventilation.

2. Power Connection

Connect the included 12 V DC adapter to the rear power jack and then to the wall outlet. The tubes will light up and the clock will start in factory mode.

3. Setting Time & Date

Use the buttons on the back to enter setup mode (short press / long press depending on firmware). Adjust hours, minutes, seconds, day, month and year. Confirm each value to move to the next.

4. 12/24-Hour & Date Mode

In the settings menu you can switch between 12-hour and 24-hour formats and select how the date is shown (DD.MM or MM.DD, depending on firmware).

5. Alarm & Night Mode

Set the alarm time and enable/disable it via the rear buttons. Night mode can dim or turn off the display during chosen hours to keep your room dark.

6. Animations & Anti-Poisoning

The firmware periodically runs a “slot-machine” digit scroll to protect the cathodes. Depending on the firmware, you can enable/disable or change animation style in the menu.

7. Care

Clean the case gently with a soft dry cloth. Do not use liquids, solvents or abrasives on the anodised aluminium or glass tubes.

Design & Materials

The enclosure is machined from solid aluminium and finished in Tyrant Gold anodising. The warm metallic tone contrasts with the cool glass of the IN-14 tubes, while the precise hexagonal mesh inside each lamp underlines the technical character of the clock.

Electronics & Firmware

A modern high-voltage supply and microcontroller drive the tubes safely, with anti-poisoning routines, smooth transitions and configurable brightness levels. A dedicated real-time clock chip keeps accurate time even if the clock is briefly disconnected from mains.

Care & Safety
