• Always switch off and disconnect the high-voltage power supply before inserting or removing the tube.
• Hold the tube by the metal base, not by the glass envelope.
• Align the pins precisely with your ZIN18-compatible socket and press straight down; avoid twisting or side force on the glass.
• Use only properly engineered Nixie drivers designed for the selected ZIN18 pinout and rated for correct voltage/current limits.
• Avoid mechanical shocks and abrupt temperature changes; the glass is reinforced for modern use but remains fragile.
• Keep the tube clean with a dry microfiber cloth; avoid liquids, solvents and abrasive cleaners.
This tube is supplied without a socket, driver or power supply. It is intended for experienced builders, designers and technicians familiar with high-voltage Nixie electronics.

ZIN18 uses classic cold-cathode neon glow discharge. The tube is supplied with a ZIN18-compatible pinout (depending on your selected configuration), making it suitable for modern driver boards and sockets designed for this format.

Care & Maintenance

The quality of the clock is really high, however I was little disappointed it didn't come with the box and carry case pictured in one of the photos. However I am still happy with the clock it is exactly as in the photos, looks amazing!
